Known for her work with award-winning bluegrass trailblazers The Dixie Bee-Liners and Emmy-nominated Gangstagrass, Brandi Hart has been sharing folk music for 25 years. Her sound has been described as "revolutionary" and "Bible Belt noir," garnering comparisons to both Alison Krauss and The Beatles.
The Dixie Bee-Liners' critically acclaimed 10-year run produced four groundbreaking albums of original music and 23 consecutive weeks of bluegrass #1's. The band toured internationally, sharing stages with Ricky Skaggs, Little Feat, Charlie Daniels, Dr. Ralph Stanley, Fairport Convention, and Richie Havens.
Hart's collaborations include featured appearances across three albums with Gangstagrass. She is also an actor, composer, and playwright, portraying Maybelle Carter in Barter Theatre's production of Keep on the Sunny Side.
Beyond performing, Hart is a composer for film and theater, a multidisciplinary performance artist, an arts educator and activist, and a published writer and panelist on issues affecting independent artists. She also develops creative resilience and STEAM-based arts programming for children and adults.
